Qasem Safari is scientific associate affiliated with the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam. He is involved in the InNoWest project where his role revolves around the creation of user-centric and interactive visualizations for geospatial data.
He obtained his Master of Science in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from K. N. Toosi university of technology in Tehran, Iran. Subsequently He embarked on a two-year researcher role at the French National Geographic Institute (IGN), where he focused on developing interactive 3D-Web cartographic exploration techniques. Continuing his academic journey, he joined Digital City Science at HafenCity University Hamburg (HCU), collaborating with the State Office for Real Estate Management and Property to construct interactive WebGIS application tailored for the identification and efficient management of land parcels within the city of Hamburg. Later, he became a part of the Laboratory of Knowledge Architecture at Technische Universität Dresden (TU Dresden) for a year, actively involved in the creation of a 3D WebGIS application aimed at facilitating public participation in city planning endeavours.
