Camilla Rackelmann (she/her) is a communications and transformation designer with a special focus on co-creative participation formats at the interface of technology, environment, and society.
As a research associate at the Interaction Design Lab at the Potsdam University of Applied Sciences, she works on prototypical teaching and learning arrangements to promote digital skills.
Her academic background combines interdisciplinary perspectives from the fields of communication design (B.A., HTW Berlin), design thinking (HPI Potsdam), and business communication (M.A., HTW Berlin).
Over the past ten years, she has gained diverse practical experience through her freelance work – including in collaborations with the Federal Employment Agency, the Education Innovation Lab, the Futurium Lab, the Berlin University of Applied Sciences, and Sea-Watch e.V..
During her two-year stint at the creative agency Berliner Ideenlabor, she was involved in the development and implementation of projects for partners such as the VW Innovation Group and for science-related institutions such as the Hemholtz Association.
Camilla is particularly interested in exploring possible futures together using the making approach. She also works on discrimination-sensitive training in schools. She approaches these complex challenges with a practical, critical approach and a healthy dose of optimism.
