Fritzing is an open-source initiative to support designers, artists, researchers and hobbyists to work creatively with interactive electronics. We are creating a software and website in the spirit of Processing and Arduino, developing a tool that allows users to document their prototypes, share them with others, teach electronics in a classroom, and to create a pcb layout for professional manufacturing.
 
 
Prototyping is an essential part of our development process - no matter if we are working on software interfaces, interactive installations or physical interfaces. Early on in the design process, we build low level prototypes that enable us to test and evaluate the design.
 
 
At the Interaction Design Lab, we consider visualization as one of our core competences. Our approach to visualization blends scientific information visualization with a unique understanding of form, interaction and usage. We believe that design principles and design thinking should be applied to the development of information and data visualizations.
 
 
Prof. Boris Müller has a Diploma in Graphic Design from the Hochschule für Künste Bremen (College of Art and Design Bremen, Germany) and a MA in Computer Related Design from the Royal College of Art London. He has worked for a number of international clients and companies like MetaDesign San Francisco, the Science Museum London and the Fraunhofer Institute for Media Communication in Bonn.
